During the summer, I visited my sister in DC. Of course, DC has gone through a huge gentrification and the city is now attractive and very cosmopolitan. With that and the influence of pop culture, I was motivated to see and taste the buzz surrounding Georgetown Cupcake.
I visited the location that is situated in the beautiful Bethesda Row. Bethesda is a quaint yet posh city in Maryland just over the DC line.
The cupcakes are exceptionally rich. I didn’t expect the Cookies ‘n Cream to have such a strong flavor. It was almost pungent. I don’t want to say that in absolutes because I normally try things twice before making a final decision. I then had a taste of my sister’s Red Velvet Cupcake and it was marvelous. The flavor was rich but not as strong as the Cookies ‘n Cream.
Taste Overall: B-
I’m going to try them again when I come back to the states to get a final review. (or maybe I’m greedy – who knows)
Have you ever tried Georgetown Cupcakes?
