Spilling the Argo Tea

Spilling the Argo Tea……
In my slight attempt to use urban entertainment jargon, today’s outing is about…..

one of my newest finds, Argo Tea.
Argo Tea is a Chicago based tea house with other US locations in New York, Boston, St. Louis, and Central Michigan. International locations include Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Beirut, Doha and Kuwait City. It’s a brand that is committed to community, diversity, and quality.

We are dedicated to delivering consistent quality and a genuine customer experience “one customer and one cup at a time” and to providing the “Argo experience” through our innovative approach of rediscovering the diversity and tradition of teas

OK, enough about all of that…

I happened upon Argo Tea during my usual stroll through Al Wahda Mall. Because Al Wahda Mall is located between two of Abu Dhabi’s main drags (2nd & 4th Streets), I have a chance to peek at it daily. It’s located in the new edition across from Bath & Body Works as you see in the reflection above.

Argo Tea is situated in the middle of the corridor with an open plan and opportunities to see a gorgeous people who flock there; perhaps this is what increased my desire to stop in – who knows.

Wait, I know I said that it’s usually packed, and it is, but this was during the EID Holiday when most people were at home with their families AND it was during siesta (so everyone was taking their mid-day nap). It started to get crowded a bit after I arrived.
I’m happy that it wasn’t so crowded when I arrived because the selections were vast. I had to gaze at the menu a bit until the barista suggested something swell.

See, this is an indecisive person’s nightmare. What in the world and what does it do? I’m so happy that our barista was well-versed with the selections and probed a bit to gauge our likes. Finally, I selected the Strawberry Creme’ Green Tea.
I wasn’t too sure about the combination but the barista assured me that I would love it; and I did. While he chatted us up, he gave us the history of Argo Tea and served a few hot tea samples. His customer service was simply amazing. I didn’t catch his name but a slim guy, medium build from Nepal.
I didn’t indulge in a healthy meal, I did pair my drink with my favorite cookie.
There are a variety of food items to pair with your drink.

Also included are retail items for the avid tea lovers or travelers wanting souvenirs.

I enjoyed my time at Argo Tea. It’s bright, airy, great selections, gluten free items available, and on the main drag.
